Video Introduction Tips

A video introduction is an optional method for teaching candidates to showcase their creativity and personality when applying for jobs in the Bibb County School District. Follow the tips below to create a quality video introduction that will allow principals to get to know you better, even when you're not applying in person.

  • Make sure to film in a quiet location with good lighting.
  • Be intentional about the background of your video.
  • Dress comfortably but professionally. Show us your classroom look!
  • Film horizontally, with your face and shoulders in frame.
  • Use 2 minutes as a target length.
  • Make sure to do a complete introduction, with first and last name as well as certification level.
  • Tell us why you became an educator or why you want to be an educator.
  • Use your 2 minutes to tell principals why you'd be a great choice!
  • Save the video using the following naming convention: lastname.firstname.Grade Level of Interest.Subject of Interest (Example: Smith.Jim.10.Math)
