National Technical Honor Society

The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) celebrates the accomplishments of today’s career and technical education students, empowering them to know the value and impact of their career paths and trades. NTHS honors outstanding student achievement, provides scholarships, and career development opportunities.  NTHS is the Honor Society for Howard High School's CTE students!

The goals of NTHS include:

  • Rewarding excellence in workforce education
  • Developing self-esteem, pride
  • Encouraging students to reach higher levels of achievement
  • Promoting strong values-honesty, responsibility, initiative, teamwork, leadership, citizenship, scholarship
  • Helping schools build effective business partnerships
  • Building a strong positive image for workforce education in America

NTHS helps members to:

  • Apply for scholarships to seek postsecondary education. NTHS awards close to $300,000 in scholarships annually.
  • Position yourself ahead of competition in today’s highly competitive workforce.
